After leaving home then moving in with GAMURS at the end of October last year, Dot Esports has grown steadily. Now, this growth looks set to continue with news that the two content platforms are set to merge.

In a press release on the GAMURS’ website, the announcement outlined how the media organisation was to merge. The plan for the consolidation of the websites is to be enacted on March 15th, where articles and social media will be transferred under the Dot Esports banner. The intention is to create “a single go-to resource for every notable event in global esports news”, as their current offering is split over two sites and brands. GAMURS’ social accounts on both Facebook and Twitter will also switch over to Dot Esports.

With a media reach that grew over 410% throughout their entire network, GAMURS averages “more than 2.1 million monthly users”. The intention is to market the network as one site in order to reach as many people as possible. The merger will see the majority of the GAMURS editorial staff moving over to DOT Esports, keeping up their current regular content streams to the rebranded site. This will combine DOT’s news content and GAMURS’ editorial pieces all under one roof, so that business news from Thiemo Brautigam sits alongside CS:GO articles from Duncan “Thorin” Shields.

Riad Chikhani, GAMURS CEO said: “GAMURS has published great work and we’re incredibly proud of everything it’s accomplished since 2016, including considerable month-over-month growth in readership. GAMURS and Dot Esports have thriving, individual communities that will benefit from GAMURS’ reactive, live coverage and Dot Esports’ deep-diving insights that uncover the bigger story. We are thrilled at the possibilities and opportunity this provides the readership and GAMURS’ overall network initiatives.”

Esports Insider says: A strengthened position from GAMURS and Dot is assured. This move should ensure that the content they have become known for keeps flowing.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
