Evil Geniuses have partnered with consumer technology brand Hisense to offer a unique fan opportunity to compete with the EG Halo team on one of the biggest TV screens in the world.

It comes after Hisense stepped in as a mediator of an argument between NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Erik Jones of Joe Gibbs Racing (JGR) and Clint Bowyer of Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), who were both claiming to be the best gamer in all of NASCAR.

Hisense and EG proposed a challenge to settle the argument once and for all – the Hisense Dual Threat Challenge. On May 26th, Jones, Bowyer, Hisense, Evil Geniuses and two fans will join forces to host a Halo tournament on the 16,000 square-foot Speedway TV at Charlotte Motor Speedway during the weekend of the Hisense 4K TV 300 in Charlotte. Jones and Bowyer will act as team captains, and fill their teams out with two Evil Geniuses team members and one fan qualifier.

Mark Viken, Vice President of Marketing at Hisense commented: “At Hisense, we embrace head-to-head competition in all its forms and believe that the television is the hearth of the modern home: bringing people together to watch great content or, in this case, decide who’s the biggest dual threat,”  before adding: “We’re also very excited to give two lucky fans the chance to compete with some of the biggest starts of NASCAR and professional gaming for ultimate bragging rights.”

Fans will be asked to Tweet a video to the hashtag #HisenseDualThreat, detailing what makes them a dual threat and why they should be considered for Jones or Bowyer’s team. After two weeks of fielding submissions, Hisense will select eight finalists and the two winners will be chosen through a popular vote on Twitter.

The winners will receive full airfare and accommodations to Charlotte as well as grandstand tickets to both the Hisense 4K TV 300 on Saturday, May 27, and the Coca-Cola 600 on Sunday, May 28.

“We’re very excited Hisense has provided this unique opportunity to partner with Evil Geniuses,” said Heath Cherry, Vice President, Sponsorship at JGR.  “We can’t wait to have Erik and Clint team up with fans to compete in Halo and see who comes out on top.”

“I know they’re hyper competitive on the race track, so I’ll be curious to see how good Erik and Clint actually are at Halo,” said Peter Dager, CEO of Evil Geniuses. “I can only hope the Evil Geniuses guys don’t embarrass them too badly.”

Esports Insider says: This is a fantastic partnership – the two winners are going to be in for an incredible experience. It’ll be interesting to see if this is the first of many campaigns between the tech company and EG.

We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
