Earlier this week, Red Bull Media House announced the second season of Team Brawl: Hearthstone®, a unique esports competition that takes place on Blizzard Entertainment‘s immensely popular Hearthstone.

The season just announced will feature three events throughout 2017. The first is April 15th, the second August 5th and the final event on December 15th. Each event will take place at Red Bull’s esports studio in Santa Monica, and will be broadcast live on the Red Bull esports Twitch channel.

Whereas Hearthstone is normally a game played one versus one, the Team Brawl shakes up the very way the game is played. Teams are set up in a three versus three format, with teammates assisting each other throughout matches. Each team is dealt one 240-card pool which they can then construct three decks from; i.e. one per player.

The format of the tournament is the same as that of the first season, with Hearthstone featuring a Team Conquest Round-Robin format. Teams will blind pick one of the three decks that they construct for combat against the opposition team. Should a deck win a game, it can’t be used again. The first team to win with each of their three decks wins the match.

Fans around the world can root for their favorite pro Hearthstone players, including members of Tempo Storm, Team SoloMid, Team Luminosity and Team Dignitas. The casters confirmed for the event are Dan “Frodan” Chou and Nathan “Admirable” Zamora.

Esports Insider says: There’s nothing better than a fun twist on an existing esport. Whilst there’s plenty of “traditional” Hearthstone action flying about, the Team Brawl adds a fun dynamic to the card game and should again provide great viewing for fans of the esport.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
