eScon USA 2017 will take place in Los Angeles

Kisaco Research has announced the details for the next eSCon which will take place in Los Angeles at the SLS Hotel in September (13-14).

The two day conference will see a host of panel sessions and also see the first meeting of the Brand Research Council. Brands including Twitter, TurtleWax, Ubisoft and Dolby will be amongst the audience. The aim of this council is to ‘pave the way for scalable and sustainable non-endemic brand investments in esports’.

Jessica Parry, Marketing Manager of Kisaco Research, told ESI: “So eSCon USA is back for another year, with some BIG changes. We’ve got 24+ meetings guaranteed for each attendee, and even more content from high-level industry names, including ESL, Hi-Rez Studios and Team Liquid. We leave behind the basic ‘how to be authentic in esports’ and instead present advanced tactics which everyone in the esports ecosystem is ready to hear.

“One topic we’re particularly excited about is BRANDS. At 10.30am on September 13 we’ll have TurtleWax centre stage, to talk about what brands’ real expectations are when it comes to esports.”

She continued: “Then on September 14 at 9.30am we peek behind-the-scenes at the partnership between one of the largest non-endemic brands to enter esports: Comcast.

“We’re also launching the Brand Research Council: a board of senior level representatives from major brands, who will help pave the way for scalable and sustainable non-endemic brand investments in esports.”

Philip Wride, CEO of Heero said of the event: “The very nature of this conference means that you’re getting all the key players together, in the same location. You get the networking opportunity but you also get that ability to learn.”

In 2016, over 50 non-endemic brands invested in esports, and 2017 is seeing yet more make their move. Kisaco Research recently held eScon Europe in London at the Meridien in Piccadily, and you can read more about that here

The aim of the two-day conference is to ‘connect key players from the whole esports industry, including brands, game developers, teams, venues, and media, looking to gain insights and develop new partnerships’. Esports Insider will be represented at eScon by Lydia Mitrevski and anybody interested in reaching out ahead of the event can do so at [email protected]

Bryce Blum, who is a Founding Partner at ESG Law and has previously been involved in other esports companies such as Unikrn, said: “This is the best conference that’s connecting people both endemic to the esports space and from outside the esports space to really drive the industry forward.”

Esports Insider says: The latest eScon in London saw a number of meetings take place with numerous panel sessions over the two days. This next event should be no different but with the added element of the ‘Brand Research Council’ to provide further focus on the entry of non-endemics.
