PGL has confirmed the commentary and analysis talent for the upcoming $1,000,000 (£774,500) CS:GO Major. The event is set to run for an entire week, 16th – 23rd, with the main event open to the public on the final weekend.

With the tournament being key in CS:GO’s calendar, a strong team of talent has been assembled to bring it to viewers. The list includes people with tonnes of experience, including host Paul “Redeye” Chaloner and esports wanderer Scott “SirScoots” Smith, who’ll be acting as an interviewer. The analysis desk is also full of former pros, including former major champion Robin “Fifflaren” Johansson. The commentary team features many fan favourite duos, including FACEIT’s James Bardolph and Daniel “ddk” Kapadia.

On top of the talent, the 16 competing teams were confirmed at the weekend. This occurred after a four-day qualifier that contained a plthora of excitement, shocks and surprises. The final eight challengers have now been secured and locked in. The sixteen teams set for the major are:

LEGENDS
Astralis Virtus.pro SK Gaming fnatic
Natus Vincere Gambit FaZe North
CHALLENGERS
mousesports G2 PENTA Sports Cloud9
BIG Vega Squadron Immortals FlipSid3 Tactics

It’s notable that for the first CS:GO Major ever, there are only five Swedish players in attendance. This sees them overtaken by both German and Ukranian players who both sit at six. This major also sees Estonia’s first appearance with Robin “ropz” Kool and Kevin “HS” Tarn, of mousesports and PENTA respectively, qualifying.

More information is available on PGL’s dedicated Major website.

Esports Insider says: This is set to be the most competitive CS:GO Major ever, with many teams performing at their strongest ever levels. The talent line-up is the cream of the crop, with some of the most popular commentating duos taking their seats. The next two weeks can’t go fast enough!

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
