Amazon is taking mobile esports to Las Vegas with the Mobile Masters Las Vegas in October.

The MMLV will take place on October 14-15 at the Millennial Esports Arena at Neonopolis, the first dedicated esports facility in the city. This isn’t Amazon’s first mobile esports competition, back in June this year they held the inaugural Mobile Masters New York.

MMLV will be a mixture of games and there’ll be a prize pool of $80,000 (£58,962).

Amazon is aiming to make competitive gaming more easily accessible for a growing number of mobile players and viewers. The titles on offer include Vainglory, Critical Ops, Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and World of Tanks Blitz. Teams taking part include the likes of TSM, Fnatic, SK Gaming, and Echo Fox amongst others. Whilst the choices of World of Tanks Blitz, Critical Ops and Vainglory are to be expected in a mobile esports tournament, the choice of Power Rangers: Legacy Wars is something of a curveball.

The first day, Saturday October 14, will see World of Tanks Blitz and Critical Ops action, whilst day two will feature Power Rangers: Legacy Wars and Vainglory.

The tournament is being presented in partnership with both eSports Productions and ESL. MMLV will bring back pro poker star and presenter Maria Ho as the host of the tournament. There’ll also be ‘popular personalities’ from each game community shoutcasting the individual game tournaments.

For those local to Vegas, attendance is completely free of charge, and for those looking to watch online they can do so at Amazon’s App Store Twitch channel.

Esports Insider says: Millennial Esports’ downtown Vegas venue should be an ideal setting for the Vegas edition of Amazon’s Mobile Masters. We are somewhat confused by the selection of Power Rangers: Legacy Wars amongst the other mobile esports titles, but with ESL involved, some big teams and $80,000 in prize money up for grabs it’s a good event for the general mobile esports space.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
