HyperX has announced that it’ll be hosting a charity livestream with professional esports celebrities and broadcasters at its gaming headquarters in Orange County.

HyperX, part of Kingston Technology Company, is partnering with the charity Extra Life (which helps support Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals) and Square Enix Dissidia®: FINAL FANTASY® NT for this event. Ten well-known esports pros players from the fighting games community will compete at HyperX’s gaming studios. Pros include Daigo, players from Echo Fox, Team SoloMid, NRG, Team Liquid, and more. The HXGiving charity event will kick off on Tuesday, December 12 starting at 2pm (PST) on the HyperX Twitch channel.

Michael Kinney, Director of Extra Life and Digital Fundraising stated: “We are thrilled to be partnering with HyperX gaming and their community to raise funds for children being treated at 170 Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals this holiday season.

“The funds raised through the HXGiving Charity Livestream event will be directed back to every donor’s local CMN hospital, helping ensure that their support will go towards funding critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric medical equipment and charitable care for kids in their own community.”

All donations from the HXGiving event will go to Extra Life, a charity that unites thousands of players around the world in fundraising and gaming marathons to support Children’s Network Hospitals. Also partnering for this charity livestream event is Square Enix Dissidia: FINAL FANTASY NT, offering an opportunity to see the pre-launch gaming play in an online battle arena with a new style of competitive gaming. Kingston Technology is matching the final donation tally, up to $50,000.

“We are proud to be working with Extra Life and Square Enix Dissidia: FINAL FANTASY NT on this charity live stream,” said Ben Malka, EMEA Community Manager at HyperX. “It is our goal to help raise funds and awareness for hospitals that provide treatments to kids.”

HXGiving will be hosted by Steve “Tasty_Steve” Scott and Stephen “Sajam” Lyon. The likes of Team Liquid, Echo Fox, NRG, Team SoloMid, Panda Global, and Cygames Beast are expected to take part, though these are ‘subject to change’.

Esports Insider says: Extra Life is a fantastic charity and it’s great to see both HyperX and the fighting games community coming out to give it some well deserved support. Tune in on December 12th if you can and get involved.
