GAME, the video game retailer has announced that its BELONG Arena Clash will return for a Spring season with registration opening today for gamers over the age of 16 in the United Kingdom.

The esports tournament gives casual and hardcore gamers alike the chance to join a team at their local BELONG store and compete for a place at the live finals which will take place at Insomnia62 at the NEC in Birmingham over the Easter weekend.

There are now 19 BELONG arenas across the country, and those involved will have the chance to compete in: Call of Duty: WWII, Overwatch, League of Legends and Tekken 7. Each regional team will be vying for titles and attempting to dethrone the current champions: Manchester Swarm, Colchester Centurions, Portsmouth Pirates and London Lionhearts. The victorious players will win £100 worth of accessories and £100 GAME Reward points. The runners-up in each title will receive £50 in accessories and £50 in Reward points.

The programme will feature dedicated gaming nights for each title throughout the week, with players able to play on stations for each title. Teams will have the chance to challenge other players within their region specific arena as well as other players across the UK.

From today, players can sign up at their local arena in as many titles as they would like. The first qualification week is the 22nd January, after which teams will be selected for each arena and then play against each other in two weeks of friendly matches before the league gets underway on the 12th February. The tournament will then culminate, after five weeks of league play with the finals hosted at i62 in Birmingham.

There are now arenas at the following locations: Bradford, Bristol City Centre, Bristol Cribbs Causeway, Cardiff, Colchester, Craigavon, Glasgow, Hull, Kingston, London Wardour Street, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Norwich, Nottingham, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Teesside, Tyneside and York.

Esports Insider says: Sadly we’re all terrible at every video game but this is another great initiative from BELONG. Fancy yourself as an esports star of the future? Head down to your local arena and dumpster some other UK esports stars in the making…

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
