Mensah-Bonsu begins by explaining her background, which she delved more in-depth on in her previous stint on the podcast. From there, she reveals that Space Ape Games is working on multiple mobile games at once, and one of those is a competitive multiplayer title that will be developed with esports in mind.

Mensah-Bonsu believes that mobile esports is rapidly taking over both PC and console because it’s so accessible. On mobile, there are so many genres of games that it means there a lot more people playing, naturally. Not only that, she correctly explains gamers “aren’t tied to a location” when they play on mobile, which could be another reason why esports is growing so vastly on that particular platform.

Also discussed in the podcast is Digital Schoolhouse and Space Ape Games’ varsity initiative, as well as a quick-fire round of questions for Mensah-Bonsu that reveals plenty about her background, inspirations, and advice for creators.

Mensah-Bonsu told Esports Insider:

“I’ve had so much positive feedback from students attending our lectures and thousands watching online. They’re so keen to pick our brains and have so much enthusiasm. I think we have an incredible opportunity to mentor the future leaders of our industry. We’ve just wrapped up our first round of classes for this semester and we’ll be looking to cover more topics and disciplines in the fall.”
