SteelSeries partners with FaZe Clan as peripheral sponsor

Danish company SteelSeries announced it will be the exclusive gaming peripheral sponsor of North American esports organisation FaZe Clan. The partnership will cover all FaZe teams including Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds and Fortnite.

FaZe Clan has become one of the most popular esports organisations in the world with the introduction of its highly successful CS:GO roster in 2016 which now sits rank two in the world. The organisation also has one of the largest social media followings, thanks to its popular content creators like co-owner Richard “Banks” Bengtson and Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.

Erick Anderson, Head of FaZe Clan esports commented on the partnership: “SteelSeries has a rich history of working with legendary talent and is a welcome partner to FaZe Clan. SteelSeries sets the bar for the superior products that our teams and players need as they continue to build their legacy.”

SteelSeries also holds sponsorships with Evil Geniuses, Cavs Legion GC, and North Gaming. Recently it announced a partnership with the PUBG Corporation to release a number of exclusive gaming accessories to celebrate the games one year anniversary.

Tony Trubridge, Global Esports Manager at Steel Series added: “Esports is a pivotal piece of SteelSeries’ identity. FaZe Clan and their ability to drive a collective passion through knowledge and dedication is unparalleled. We’re incredibly proud to officially partner with the team and to equip them with the ultimate esports products.”

Esports Insider says: What’s more exciting than seeing two gaming powerhouses combine their efforts? FaZe Clan is arguably one of the best esports organisations in the world with their success in FPS games and popularity across social media. As FaZe has a massive amount of content creators it’s likely we’ll see some type of exclusive content surrounded by SteelSeries coming from the organisation in the future. SteelSeries definitely considered one of the best gaming peripheral providers in the world so seeing the two come together is exciting.
