North American esports organisation OpTic Gaming is continuing on its quest for world domination with its expansion into Southeast Asia.

OpTic Gaming has recruited three Southeast Asian representatives with different skillsets to kickstart this new division. The first three OpTic SEA members are:

  • Christina “Miao Miao” Xiaoting – full-time streamer
  • Joseph Germani – YouTuber, actor
  • SparTankeR – Shoutcaster, streamer

Romain Bigeard, General Manager of OpTic Gaming said the following in a statement: “OpTic has built a passionate global community of personalities, streamers and teams around the world. As esports continues to grow massively in Asia, we are delighted to bring high-quality and personalized content and community events to excite our SEA fans.”

To celebrate the launch of OpTic SEA, the aforementioned members will livestream PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds for a couple of hours on July 23rd. They will play against fans and give away OpTic Gaming merchandise signed by the Dota 2 team.

Just earlier this month, the organisation announced its entry in Latin America by recruiting a Mexican Gears of War roster under the OpTic Mexico guise. Just two months prior to this expansion, OpTic Gaming launched OpTic India by recruiting an Indian Counter-Strike: Global Offensive team.

Esports Insider says: OpTic Gaming has called itself “the global leader in gaming entertainment” for quite some time, and it’s evidently starting to take the ‘global’ part literally. It’s another intriguing move that we will be keeping a close eye on.
