Pittsburgh Knights announces sponsorship from Totino’s

North American esports organisation Pittsburgh Knights has announced a new sponsor in the form of Totino’s. As part of this deal, Totino’s logo will be prominently displayed on the Knights’ jersey.

This is the very first team in which the frozen pizza brand has sponsored, though it has been involved with esports prior to this sponsorship. In 2015, it hosted its own invitational tournament in Call of Duty.

James O’Connor, President of Pittsburgh Knights had this to say about the partnership: “The Knights are extremely excited to be partnering with Totino’s. It’s great that a major brand identified us as doing the right thing in this space and also wanted to support and grow esports. It means a lot to everyone who’s been working so hard behind the scenes.”

The announcement states that the partnership is ideal because not only does the organisation like Totino’s offering, but both parties are a good match because of “their love for fun and entertainment”.

Rob Lee, CEO of Pittsburgh Knights added: “I’m honored to have Totino’s select the Knights as a partner. Seeing their commitment to esports is encouraging and I couldn’t ask for anything more than to see our brands alongside one another, holding up a championship trophy together.”

Pittsburgh Knights is currently competing at the PUBG Global Invitational and also houses teams in Fortnite, Super Smash Bros., and Hearthstone. The organisation has added Totino’s to its list of partners, which already included Arma Centrum and Twitch.

Esports Insider says: Totino’s returning to esports is a positive sign, especially when you consider its first venture was in Call of Duty and now it’s sponsoring a team that competes in completely different titles. Hopefully the Knights can get off to a good start with this sponsorship by achieving a high placement at PGI 2018!
