ASUS – Republic of Gamers has been brought on as the main sponsor of the DreamHack Masters series in Stockholm for at least the next two years.

ASUS ROG will be the exclusive provider of monitors and PCs at the event along with laptops at the broadcast desk.

Marc Winther, Director of DreamHack Masters said: “We’re extremely pleased to once again partner up with ASUS ROG, this time for our Stockholm event, following partnerships to both 2016 and 2017 editions of the Malmö event as well as Las Vegas. We continue to work with ASUS ROG on multiple projects, together we’ve achieve great things over the years. DreamHack Masters is our most prestigious tournament series and with ASUS ROG onboard it secures the premium environment for the players to compete in, with these top of line products.”

The DreamHack Masters series is a touring CS:GO championship spread throughout different cities and venues throughout the year with at least $250,000 in prize money. In 2017 DreamHack signed a two-year deal with peripheral company CORSAIR for the DreamLeague and DreamHack Masters series’.

ASUS ROG is a prime sponsor in esports, holding deals with teams like NRG and Echo Fox and the the H1Z1 Pro League. The company has also recently invested $16m (£11.5m) to set up a cultural and media firm in China, with plans to be predominantly involved in professional esport business operations.

Esports Insider says: There’s nothing too special about this partnership considering ASUS has heavy involvement with event sponsorships already. The two-year deal will benefit both parties in the long run especially as DreamHack begins to expand its events.
