Announcing the ESI Hall of Fame Awards

Here at Esports Insider as we hope you know – we live and breathe the esports industry day in day out, and we feel that it’s high time to acknowledge those individuals who’ve helped to build and shape the sector as we know it. Introducing: the ESI Hall of Fame.

The inaugural show for the ESI Hall of Fame awards ceremony will be hosted on the evening of September 20th at London’s legendary Natural History Museum, topping off what’s sure to be an amazing esports conference: ESI London (18-20th September).

We will be revealing the identities of, and duly awarding, the first three instrumental individuals to receive the awards during the official after party for the business conference, ensuring they get the celebration, applause and hooplah they deserve. This year, the event will coincide with the third edition of the SBC Sports Betting Hall of Fame Awards – which gives recognition to deserving individuals in the betting and gaming industries. This allows us to host the very first ESI Hall of Fame evening at the iconic venue that is the Natural History Museum.

Sam Cooke, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Esports Insider discussed the Hall of Fame Awards in a statement: “This is something we’ve been looking to do for some time. ESI London is our 9th event and will be our biggest yet. We’ve come a long way to help to create a professional environment and to become one of the leading providers of esports business news and opinion, as well as create some of the best received esports business events and conferences globally.

“Our aim has always been to support the industry and to share knowledge, experience and best practises with a view to ultimately generate growth for new talent and companies looking to get involved with the industry. The ESI Hall of Fame Awards looks to bring the industry together to celebrate those who have played an integral part in building it. We want to help to tell and share their stories to a wider audience.

This initiative won’t be a flash in the pan, it’s around for the long-term with three new members entering the Hall of Fame on an annual basis. Following the announcement of the inaugural members on the 20th, we will be posting plenty on content about their stories and achievements on our site. The aim here being to provide a long lasting legacy for the Hall of Famers, and to showcase to everyone their commitment, sacrifice and hard work.

The decision process for this year’s round of awards has been kept internal, but a new judging process will be announced for next year and from thereon out. The aim is simple, it’s to acknowledge and cement the legacy held by each member of the ESI Hall of Fame.
