Team SoloMid‘s Fortnite squad has picked up another sponsor in the shape of energy drink brand G FUEL.
This is the second Fortnite-specific sponsor that Team SoloMid has welcomed in the last few months, with G FUEL now joining Chipotle.

There are no specific details released regarding what the sponsorship involves beyond unique discount codes for G FUEL products, which is a very typical and widespread thing among players and personalities in the gaming scene. Some people even receive their own special flavour of energy drink that’s available to purchase, look at Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag, CEO of 100 Thieves, for example – he has his own “LemoNADE” brand of the drink.
G FUEL is no stranger to sponsoring figures in esports, having partnered with numerous professional players – such as Call of Duty’s Dillon “Attach” Price and PUBG’s David “Fuzzface” Tillberg Persson. The brand sponsors a ton of professional teams, too, like FaZe Clan, SoaR Gaming, Team Kaliber, FlipSid3 Tactics, Elevate, and SetToDestroyX.
Outside of Fortnite-specific deals, Team SoloMid is partnered with Logitech G, HTC, Twitch, HyperX, CyberPowerPC, GEICO, Gillette, and Dr Pepper.
Esports Insider says: This partnership really isn’t an anomaly in the industry whatsoever, it’s almost harder to find a prominent personality or player who isn’t sponsored by G FUEL at this point. Unless this sponsorship goes above and beyond the usual, then don’t expect anything more than a discount code that you can use to support TSM’s Fortnite team.
