International esports television channel GINX Esports TV has expanded its offering, now making itself available in the Latin America region.
This expansion comes in the form of a partnership with over-the-top television service platform Zapping TV. Coverage will begin in Chile, though it will be more widespread over time.
Sam Butler, Director of Affiliate Sales for GINX Esports TV discussed the expansion in a statement: “We are very happy to take our first step in South America with Zapping TV. GINX TV creates and commissions exclusive content for its channel, representing every facet of esports. We can’t wait to see the response from Chilean esports fans.”
GINX Esports TV has a variety of shows in its programming, including the following: The GINX Vault, Preload, The Dojo, Road to the International, The Challenger: Street Fighter V, and Esport Rewind. There’s a mix of documentaries, reality shows, analysis, gameplay, and tutorials available to watch on the channel.
Gustavo Morandé, CEO for Zapping TV also commented on the partnership: “We are very excited about this partnership with one of the main esports channels worldwide and to bring this exclusive offer to Zapping TV users in the whole region, starting by Chile where we are launching.”
As well as being available to watch on television in over 50 countries, Ginx Esports TV can be streamed on mobiles, computers, and other electrical devices for a monthly subscription fee. This expansion is a move to offer televised esports coverage in even more areas.
Esports Insider says: GINX Esports TV delivers a ton of original content to an impressive amount of countries, and providing this programming in Latin America is another big step in the company’s (presumed) plan of world domination. Before we know it, GINX will be absolutely everywhere – and that’s not a bad thing for the industry, more positive coverage on mainstream outlets is always welcome.
