The International 8 has the biggest prize pool in esports

The International 8

The most prestigious Dota 2 tournament of the year, The International 8, has taken over from The International 7 in terms of having the biggest prize pool in the entirety of esports.

Last year’s version of the annual tournament had a prize pool of $24,687,919 (£19,222,013.73), whereas TI8 is currently at $25.2 million (£19.6 million).

Overwatch League enters multi-year content deal with Twitter

The Overwatch League has agreed upon a multi-year content deal with social media platform Twitter.

This partnership will see Overwatch League deliver highlights and livestream content to Twitter, starting with the All-Star Weekend on August 25-26th.

ESL launching record label with Universal Music Group Europe

ESL Universal Music Group Europe

ESL is launching a joint record label with Universal Music Group Europe as part of a multi-year partnership.

Artists who are on UMG Europe’s label will have their music integrated into ESL’s broadcasts, social media, and events.

SNIPES becomes official apparel partner of mousesports

SNIPES mousesports

German sneaker and streetwear chain SNIPES has forged a partnership with Berlin-based organisation mousesports.

As part of this deal, official team apparel will be created – as well as producing a co-branded streetwear-themed collection for fans to purchase.
