Virtus.pro partners with Russian betting firm Parimatch

Russian esports organisation Virtus.Pro has announced a new partnership with Russian betting firm, Parimatch.

As part of this new deal, the Parimatch logo will feature on the Virtus.Pro team jerseys, the team’s website and social media channels. The deal will run until the end of 2019.

Roman Dvoryankin, Virtus.pro General Manager had this to say about the deal: “Our organization is selective and careful when it comes to choosing partnerships. Our choice of Parimatch – one of the leaders of Russia’s betting sector – is another testament to that. We are excited to announce our partnership – and we’re sure of its success.”

This latest deal with Parimatch comes hot on the heels of Virtus.Pro’s partnership with another Russian firm, telecommunications company MegaFon.

Anatoly Merezhko, CEO of BC Parimatch shared his thoughts: “Currently, esports is the most dynamically developing sport in the world. Parimatch betting company has always closely monitored this direction – we were among the first to provide the possibility to bet on cybersport events, and so we’ve been paying close attention to this sport for three years.

Parimatch might be new to esports partnerships but the company operates a number of markets in the sector. Major titles such as Dota 2, CSGO and League of Legends feature alongside traditional sports markets and virtual sports markets

Anatoly added: “We’re happy to establish a partnership with one of the greatest Russian and international esports organizations – Virtus.pro. Virtus.pro’s constant innovations and leader’s ambitions resonate with our company’s values. We are certain this partnership will allow both parties to strengthen their positions and create new opportunities for development.”

Parimatch joins fellow Virtus.Pro partners including – Megafon, G2A, Fragstore, Twitch, Mr.Cat and LG.

Esports Insider says: Gambling and esports go hand in hand, more deals of this ilk will become commonplace in the years henceforth. VP has signed deals in the past with Russian companies and this is no exception, a smart move from VP and Parimatch.
