ADATA XPG announces partnership with Flash Wolves

ADATA Technology signed a partnership with Taiwanese esports organisation Flash Wolves, the company announced at a press event in Taichung.

ADATA XPG, the gaming branch of the company has become the new sponsor for Flash Wolves. Known for its League of Legends team, Flash Wolves is one of the most successful esports organisations in Taiwan.

The team finished in third place at the Mid-Season Invitational celebrated in Berlin, Germany. Lu “Betty” Yu-Hung, Huang “Maple” Yi-Tang, and Hu “SwordArt” Shuo-Chieh competed at the 2018 Asian Games with Taiwan’s national team. The squad won the bronze medal after losing against China in the semi-finals.

ADATA’s commitment to promoting esports in the region continue, recently, the company sponsored the IeSF World Championship 2018 in Kaohsiung.

Chen added: “Going forward, ADATA will continue to promote the development of esports in Taiwan and other regions by working closely with all stakeholders, from esports teams and event organizers to government entities.”

Taiwan is still considered an emerging region but teams like Flash Wolves are challenging that perception. The team qualified for the 2018 League of Legends World Championship and is considered a strong contender.

Pei-Ching Hsu, Deputy Managing Director of the Chinese Taipei esports Association, said: “The support of the business community is essential to the growth of esports in Taiwan and boosting its competitiveness on the international stage. We hope the excellent example set by ADATA and other sponsors will inspire other members of the community to lend their support and help bring esports in Taiwan to the next level.”
