Popular Dota 2 player Roman “RAMZES666” Kushnarev, who currently competes for Virtus.pro, has become a brand ambassador for shampoo brand Head & Shoulders.

As part of this partnership, RAMZES666 has starred in a video advertisement for the brand in Russia as part of a new promotion campaign. Details for the deal have been not disclosed at this time, including contract length.

Here’s what RAMZES666 has to say about his role of brand ambassador: “I’m flattered to become the face of such a universally acclaimed brand as Head & Shoulders. I’ve learned from experience that it’s always important not to give up but to keep working towards your goal as in the game, as in real life.”

“If you’re the best in your craft, especially in sport, you face the highest level of responsibility,” said Head & Shoulders in the announcement. “In these moments, even a subtlest of details may impair your confidence, so it’s important to keep your hairstyle perfect.”

During his tenure as a professional Dota 2 player, the 19 year old has won four Major events: ESL One Hamburg 2017, ESL One Katowice 2018, The Bucharest Major, and most recently, ESL One Birmingham 2018.

RAMZES666 has joined a lucrative list of athletes from traditional sports to support the brand and appear in commercials. This includes Odell Beckham Jr., Gianluigi Buffon, Antoine Griezmann, and unforgettably, former England football goalkeeper Joe Hart.

Esports Insider says: This is definitely something different for esports as a whole, and is seemingly a cool opportunity for RAMZES666. The industry is still far from being accepted in the mainstream, but moves like this mark a gentle crossover and will slowly help expose some of esports’ biggest stars to traditional media.
