London-based esports organisation Team Dignitas has appointed new Vice Presidents for its Marketing and Business Development departments.
Former Counter-Strike: Global Offensive player and world champion Heather “sapphiRe” Garozzo has been promoted from Director of Fan Engagement to Vice President of Marketing, whereas Maurice Eisdenmann has been appointed as Vice President of Business Development.
Michael Prindiville, CEO of Team Dignitas discussed the moves in a statement: “Heather Garozzo defines Dignitas. She is a clever marketer, tireless operator, World Champion Counter-Strike player and most importantly a kind-hearted, vivacious leader with the vision to drive first-class engagement across all platforms. As Vice President of Marketing, Heather gives us a distinct edge over the competition in the ever-evolving esports media space.
“I accepted the role as Team Dignitas CEO in May, determined to bring Maurice Eisenmann on board to help shape and operate new business throughout the org. His experience and industry savvy makes him the ideal executive to execute on partnerships and future verticals that will define the new era of Dignitas.”
Besides playing CS:GO professionally, sapphiRe has worked with ESL, ESEA, MLG, PGL, BLAST Pro Series, and ELEAGUE as an observer before joining Team Dignitas as its Director of Fan Engagement.
Past positions held by Eisenmann include Director of Community and Culture at WHAM Network, a digital gaming channel, as well as Founder and CEO of Young Jedi Management, a production company in the music industry.
Esports Insider says: These seem like two solid pick-ups for Team Dignitas that will be crucial as the organisation reinvents itself under the leadership of Michael Prindiville; Business Development and Marketing will both play into a organisational rebrand in a big way.
