FOKUS CLAN finds first partner in funny-frisch

German FIFA team FOKUS CLAN has entered a partnership with Intersnack‘s crisp brand, funny-frisch.

Marketing agency Infront helped to form the partnership, which includes funny-frisch acting as a jersey sponsor. Not only that, its brand will be displayed on FOKUS CLAN’s website and social channels.

Content creation and activations will also be results of the partnership. This is funny-frisch’s first involvement in the esports industry.

Roland Stroese, Member of the Executive Board at Intersnack touched on the partnership: “FOKUS CLAN and funny-frisch are a perfect match. With the well-known and popular brand ambassadors Bastian Schweinsteiger and Lukas Podolski we reach our target group on the pitch and on TV.

“The cooperation with the FOKUS CLAN enables us to address our younger target group also on the virtual football fields. This is a consistent development of our brand engagement. In the young target group eSports is now the third most popular sport in Germany and with our sponsoring we place funny-fresh optimally in the digital world.”

FOCUS KLAN is set to compete in the Virtual Bundesliga, starting in December. The team is made up of three professional players: Danny “Proownez” Liepolt, Lukas “Sakul” Vonderheide, and Matthias “Stylo” Hietsch.

Marco Sautner, Managing Director of Infront Germany also commented: “eSports is now a recognized sport and accordingly the environment is developing professionally. The partnership between funny-frisch and the FOKUS CLAN creates a strong team and we are looking forward to the common path of these two dynamic brands.”

Esports Insider says: This is FOKUS CLAN’s first partnership and it has managed to bring in a big non-endemic brand – bravo! The deal seems to encompass a lot, including content and activations, so we’re intrigued to see what the two brands come up with with the help of STARK eSports – the agency that works with the FIFA squad.
