Luckbox has started off the new year with a new key hire in the form of Deyan Valtchev.

Joining the esports betting company as its Head of Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Valtchev has experience from previous roles at Betfair, PokerStats, and OffSide Gaming. His main responsibility will be building and managing Luckbox’s reward programme.

Valtchev discussed his new role in a statement: “Broadly speaking, my role consists of making sure that our players are properly rewarded and well aware of our product features. My job starts as soon as a player registers, a key objective for me is to offer them the best possible experience. The reward Luckboxes are something I am extremely excited about – essentially players will regularly earn a Luckbox full of nice surprises (bonuses, free spins, skins) and myself and the team are to decide what the mechanics will be.”

In November 2018, Luckbox hired Frida Ericksson as its Director of Operations. Her previous post was at betting operator Pinnacle, overseeing gambling, security, fraud prevention, verification, payments, and customer support.

David Lyons, Director of Player Engagement at Luckbox (and former colleague of Valtchev at PokerStars) added: “Deyan has a proven track record in CRM and I’m delighted to have him on our team. Our Luckbox reward programme is a unique and exciting element of our offering to customers and something we’re focusing on strongly. Having someone of Deyan’s calibre in this role is a fantastic coup for the business.”

Luckbox is aiming to launch its services this year. In early August last year, it was awarded a full licence under the Online Gambling Regulation Act (OGRA) issued by the Gaming Supervision Commissions. This made it the first cryptocurrency-supported esports betting platform to be assigned a top-tier gambling licence by the Isle of Man government.

Esports Insider says: Luckbox is slowly making key hires as it steadily gears up to launch its services, and CRM is all about achieving customer satisfaction. Valtchev knows the betting space but is new to esports so it’ll be interesting to see how the reward programme takes shape.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
