Skella is a former Counter-Strike player for Pantheon and currently owns an Australian esports bar, GG EZ Bar. His past experience includes roles as Head of User Experience for Australian Football League and Chief Product Officer of Horizon State.

Gernot Abl, Managing Director of Esports Mogul discussed the new hire in a statement: “The alignment between Mogul’s business and Jamie’s breadth of experience in esports, digital product, and startups, seems almost uncanny. I don’t think the fit could be more perfect. I’m excited that his arrival is one that is able to deliver value to all corners of the operation and help realise our enormous potential.”

In June last year, gaming peripheral company Razer led a funding round for Esports Mogul that resulted in a $4.4 million (£3.3 million) investment. Other investors in the round included Australian institutions and Singaporean technology firm Cloud Alliance.

The company manages Mogul, a tournament organisation platform that accommodates for titles such as Dota 2, League of Legends, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. It hit 1.5 million users on February 10th.

Esports Insider says: Jamie Skella appears to be a great pick-up for Esports Mogul, not only does he have ample business experience but he’s certainly no stranger to the esports industry. Best of luck to Skella in his new role and to Esports Mogul for its lofty ambitions!

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
