German esports organisation Sprout has announced a new partnership with prepaid payment giant paysafecard.

There’s no word on the details of the partnership at the type of writing, though Sprout has paysafecard’s logo present on its social media channels.

paysafecard became the global payment platform partner of ESL’s events in 2018. The company’s platform was integrated as a payment method to the ESL Shop, ESEA, and ESL Play – though it has been in the scene since 2014. In May 2016, paysafecard signed a sponsorship deal with Spanish esports organisation G2 Esports.

Sprout is also partnered with AMD, Trust Gaming, Noblechairs, AMD, and CASEKING. Most recently  – prior to this deal – the organisation partnered with Hörluchs, a German company that produces in-ear monitors that is also tied with BIG.

The organisation currently fields a team in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, made up of an entirely German roster. The squad currently competes in ESL Meisterschaft’s Spring 2019 season and has taken part in international tournaments such as StarSeries i-League Season 6 in the past.

Esports Insider says: Sprout has quickly built up a solid roster of partners but it’s hard to judge this latest deal without knowing the details. It’s impressive to see an organisation that competes in just a single game – that’s not on the scale of Astralis, for example – manage to obtain big names such as paysafecard. Bravo!
