DotaPIT Minor begins on April 22nd with impressive array of partners

The AMD SAPPHIRE DotaPIT Minor 2019 is set to take place from the 22nd April through until the 28th, with the closed qualifiers taking place between 3-6th April in Split, Croatia.

ONE GAME Agency, the tournament organiser, has revealed an impressive list of sponsors. AMD, HyperX, AOC, Ballistix Gaming, Pringles, VPEsports, Red Bull, AORUS, GRID, MSGW Gaming Computer and A1 Hrvatska will all come on board as partners for the event.

The tournament format will see the top eight teams from the closed qualifier split into two groups, playing in best of three series in a round-robin format. Following the group stage, teams will enter a double-elimination bracket before a best of five final will ultimately decide the winner. Up for grabs in Split, Croatia, is a prize pool of $300,000 (£226,000) and 500 precious DPC points.

A number of the sponsors spoke about the news in the release, an AOC spokesperson commented: “Keeping a finger on the pulse of the global gaming community has long been one of AOC’s core values. Through spirited cooperation with leading esports teams, all manner of gaming-related organisations, events and agencies, we are pleased to continue to uphold those values. With this in mind, AOC is proud to continue our partnership with One Game Agency for another round of their incredibly successful OGA Dota PIT in April this year.”

Pringles are one of a number of non-endemic brands on board for the event – expanding on their existing esports presence at ESL events. Dominik Schafhaupt, Marketing Manager Snacks Northern Europe, Kellogg, said: “We look forward to being part of the Dota PIT family and supporting its many fans and their passion. We’re honoured to help bring the Dota PIT Minor to Split and to provide fans with some Pringles to snack on and fun activities at the event while the action unfolds!”

Esports Insider says: It’s great to see Dota PIT back in the calendar and part of the DPC for this year. Credit to ONE GAME Agency, too, who have brought on a plethora of sponsors and partners for the event. We’re looking forward, after a small hiatus, to see what Dota PIT has up its sleeve as the DPC reaches a crucial point in the season.
