StarLadder has signed a one-year deal with gaming chair brand DXRacer for the PUBG Europe League.
The partnership – which is the first for the competition – will see the players and talent in the PUBG Europe League utilise DXRacer’s chairs for the remainder of 2019 season.
PUBG Europe League is one of six regional leagues that make up the official PUBG esports initiative, alongside three additional regional circuits. The first of three phases that comprise the annual season has just wrapped up with the FACEIT Global Summit: PUBG Classic in London, UK on April 16th-21st.
HyperX was announced as a sponsor of the PUBG Classic just a week before it kicked off, providing mice, mouse pads, DRAM, and SSD products for the entirety of the tournament. It acted as the inaugural global event in the season and boasted a prize pool of $400,000 (£305,962).
DXRacer is also partnered with the likes of Fnatic, OpTic Gaming, Ninjas in Pyjamas, Natus Vincere, Alliance, and Tempo Storm. In January, the gaming chair brand was announced as a supplier for Riot Games’ premier European competition LEC, as well as a partner of Russian organisation Virtus.pro.
Esports Insider says: First off, it’s rare to see a tournament or league with a lot of support and resources behind it not have any partners so this is a long time coming. Gaming chair partnerships are effectively commonplace in the industry at this point so it’s not a huge surprise to see this deal come into fruition – especially since there are so many teams and players that compete in the league.
