Hamburg-based organisation mousesports has entered a strategic partnership with gaming hardware and peripherals company Razer.
The players that represent the organisation will practice using Razer’s peripherals and test new products.
Stefan Wendt, CEO at mousesports discussed the deal in a release: “To be part of Team Razer again is truly special for us. It shows the trust Razer has put into our vision for Mousesports and our players. At the same time, we are excited to be able to provide our teams with the latest advanced equipment when they fight for trophies around the world. Our Hamburg-based teams will create some very unique content for our fans. It’s a perfect match and I am really looking forward to the things we can achieve together.“
Razer joins mousesports’ roster of partners alongside Vodafone, SNIPES, Nitrado, and noblechairs. It competes in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, Rocket League, Street Fighter V, FIFA, and StarCraft II.
Yann Salsedo, Head of Esports (EMEA) at Razer also commented on the partnership: “Mousesports fields some of the most talented teams and players in global esports. We look forward to working with them, using their professional know-how and expertise to take our high-performance esports gear to the next level.”
Razer also sponsors the likes of Alliance, Evil Geniuses, Gen.G esports & Seoul Dynasty, Immortals & Los Angeles Valiant, and SK Gaming.
Esports Insider says: mousesports doesn’t have a long list of partners like a number of its fellow organisations, but the companies that it does do business with are sweet. Razer continuing to support esports isn’t a surprise at all but it’s great to see that it isn’t slowing down on the sponsorship front any time soon.
