David Tse, Global Esports Director at Razer discussed the partnership in a release: “It has always been our objective to develop esports in the region. Through this partnership, we hope to provide the necessary support that gamers need and ensure that the teams are equipped with the best peripherals for an outstanding competition experience.”

Blizzard is only providing financial aid to the top 10 teams from last year’s Overwatch World Cup, resulting in other teams searching for sponsors and support from the community so they can attend the event in California and compete.

Dr. Rushindra Sinha, Co-founder of Global Esports also commented: “We are extremely excited to be working with one of the best in the industry and we hope this to be the start of a long lasting relationship”

Global Esports announced that it had closed a multi-million dollar seed funding round in August, though the amount of capital raised was undisclosed. The round was funded by Venture Catalysts and is said to help the organisation “explore its potential and opportunities” with guidance from the investing firm.

Esports Insider says: We’ve known Razer to show support at all levels of esports in the past, so this kind of story isn’t particularly surprising but it’s still great to see. Hopefully India and Singapore can put up a good fight at the World Cup and help to pay off the effort made by everybody involved.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
