Students in Mizzou Esports will train and compete in the MSI Training Facility, a new area that’s equipped with adequate gaming equipment, broadcasting capabilities, and space for spectators.
Kevin Reape, Head Coach and General Manager of Mizzou Esports commented on the partnership in a release: “We created this program so our talented student athletes could compete against other collegiate esports programs while representing Mizzou. We’re already off to a great start, and thanks to MSI, our teams will begin competing at an entirely different level.”

Mizzou Esports competes in Overwatch, Rocket League, and League of Legends. Formed in December last year, it’s part of the National Association of Collegiate Esports – which also partnered with MSI earlier this year.
Sam Chern, Corporate Marketing VP at MSI added: “We are committed to the growth and development of gaming athletes and our goal is to offer the best tools for them to succeed. We are honored to partner with such a distinguished institution, and we are devoted to seeing Mizzou’s team succeed not only in tournaments, but also in developing their talents.”
Esports Insider says: The collegiate esports space is where companies a lot of companies are placing their chips, getting involved through sponsorships and partnerships. MSI evidently believes in esports at all levels, which is why it’s one of the better quiet sponsors that the industry has.
