Mizzou Esports, the esports division of the University of Missouri, has partnered with computer hardware company MSI.
The deal will see MSI provide gaming systems and resources to the university for the 2019 collegiate season.

Students in Mizzou Esports will train and compete in the MSI Training Facility, a new area that’s equipped with adequate gaming equipment, broadcasting capabilities, and space for spectators.
Kevin Reape, Head Coach and General Manager of Mizzou Esports commented on the partnership in a release: “We created this program so our talented student athletes could compete against other collegiate esports programs while representing Mizzou. We’re already off to a great start, and thanks to MSI, our teams will begin competing at an entirely different level.”

Mizzou Esports competes in Overwatch, Rocket League, and League of Legends. Formed in December last year, it’s part of the National Association of Collegiate Esports – which also partnered with MSI earlier this year.

Esports Insider says: The collegiate esports space is where companies a lot of companies are placing their chips, getting involved through sponsorships and partnerships. MSI evidently believes in esports at all levels, which is why it’s one of the better quiet sponsors that the industry has.
