Esports data company Abios has partnered with event organiser and esports news platform WIN.gg‘s WINNERS League.
The deal will see Abios work with the league to share in-game data from its third season.
Abios will place observers in WINNERS League’s matches in order to track player performances. The data collected will range from kills & deaths to weapon usage, as well as round-by-round damage output.
Nick Gorbunov, Project Lead at WINNERS League discussed the partnership: “With Abios having access to our tournament data, we’re positioned to take our competitions to the next level. Each season the level of teams and the fan base grows. The matches are incredibly entertaining and competitive and we’re proud of the broadcast that we serve to our viewers.
“Having a complete record of stats and performance is important in both sports and esports. Everybody only stands to gain from this partnership, from the teams themselves to CSGO fans, to service providers.”
WINNERS League operates Counter-Strike: Global Offensive leagues in both Europe and North America with the aim of providing opportunities for up-and-coming talent.
With the focus on emerging talent, Abios will offer early statistical looks at talent to see how they compare to more seasoned players. The partnership will also allow bookmakers to provide live odds on the league.
Oskar Fröberg, CEO of Abios also commented on the deal: “The esports betting market is still in its infancy and one of the main goals for Abios is to help companies by providing live and pregame data, statistics and probabilities. Being able to access the server data from WINNERS League is expected to generate great value for many of our clients.”
