Gaming chair manufacturer DXRacer has announced a partnership with Gears of War competitive league Gears Esports.
As a result, DXRacer will act as the official gaming chair provider for the 2019-2020 circuit.

The partnership officially kicked into gear at the San Diego Major over December 6-8th, with Gears 5-branded DXRacer chairs outfitting the commentary desk and players’ stage.
Shann Ng, Director of Marketing at DXRacer commented on the partnership in a release: “We’re proud to continue our tradition of supporting major esports initiatives through our partnership with Gears 5 Esports. With a full flight of top-of-the-line DXRacer chairs, players can rest assured that their comfort is guaranteed during their matches.”

The upcoming season will offer more than $2,000,000 (£1,526,400) in prize winnings with a fully-fledged online feeder system to qualify for the Gear Esports Pro League. The San Diego Major is one of three Major tournaments this season, with a World Championship to be held in July 2020. All four events will be lined with custom Gears 5 DXRacer chairs.
Rose Gunson, Esports Creative Program Manager for Gears of War at Microsoft spoke to the deal in a release: “We’re committed to partnering with the best endemic partners within esports and working with a brand such as DXRacer is proof of that.”
