Rainbow7 fields a team in the Liga Movistar Latinoamérica, otherwise known as the Latin America League, the region’s official League of Legends competition organised by developer Riot Games. As part of the agreement, the team’s logo has been combined with that of Team Reciprocity.

Chad Larsson, Founder and President of Team Reciprocity discussed the venture in a release: “Entering Latin America was the next natural market for our global reach, and we’re excited to be partnering with R7, one of the most accomplished team organizations in this region. League of Legends is the definitive premier esports globally and I look forward to building on what is already one of the best League of Legends teams in Latin America.”

This isn’t the first international alliance for Team Reciprocity, it joined forces with Chinese organisation LGD Gaming to secure franchise slots in both the CrossFire Pro League and CrossFire Mobile League last September.

Gibran “Biblos” Gosain, Founder and CEO of Rainbow 7 also commented: “Bringing together Rainbow 7 and Team Rec is an incredible alliance in the League of Legends Ligo LatinoAmerica league. We are excited to work with Chad, David, and the entire Team Rec organization. Our strategic visions are aligned in building strong teams, fanbase, and world-leading esports organizations.”

Esports Insider says: Team Reciprocity is going about international expansion is a smarter way than other organisations have in the past. Instead of literally having to root yourself in a brand new region, partnering with an established brand in said region provides instant access to an established fan base and operations are already established.
