In August 2019, Simplicity Esports entered a definitive agreement to acquire PLAYLive Nationa company that owned a network of 44 gaming centres across the United States. PLAYLive’s centres, which are said to serve over 150,000 unique customers each year, will all be re-branded with Simplicity Esports branding.

The centres were acquired in order for Simplicity Esports to expand on its goal of bringing esports and gaming to the masses.

Esports Insider says: After securing the PLAYLive Nation centres last year, Simplicity Esports is quickly bringing esports to the masses with purpose-built facilities opening across the United States. It will be interesting to see how it fares in what is quickly becoming a highly-competitive market within the esports industry.
