This week in esports saw Eurosport pick up sim racing, ESL partner with GUNNAR Optiks, Call of Duty: Mobile get a World Championship, and ESPN plan Madden NFL programming.

Torque Esports enters broadcast deal with Eurosport

Torque Esports established a broadcast partnership with European television sports network Eurosport.

The agreement will see Torque Esports’ The Race All-Star Series become available through Eurosport’s network in over 150 countries and territories.

ESL enters licensing agreement with GUNNAR Optiks

Event organiser ESL entered a three-year licensing agreement with gaming glasses manufacturer GUNNAR Optiks.

The deal will see ESL produce its own range of branded glasses over the coming years, starting later in 2020.

EA Sports, ESPN plot extensive Madden NFL 20 programming

ESPN and EA Sports announced an upcoming slate of Madden NFL 20 Championship Series (MCS) coverage coming to ESPN2 and the ESPN app.

On April 26th, ESPN will broadcast a five-hour block of Madden programming, including the live three-hour Madden NFL 20 Bowl Last Chance Qualifier.

Call of Duty: Mobile turns to esports with World Championship

Activision Blizzard partnered with Sony Mobile to launch the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship, starting April 30th.

Any players looking to participate in the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship need to be ranked veteran or higher in the Ranked mode of the game. The event will have a total prize purse of $1 million (£812,200), though distribution is unknown at the time of writing.
