Berlin-based organisation G2 Esports has appointed Jordan Bellar as its Business Development Manager.
Bellar is the first full-time employee of G2 Esports to be hired that’s dedicated to building the organisation’s operations in New York City.

Bellar will be responsible for driving commercial growth for G2 Esports in his new role, not only in North America but on a global basis.
He commented on the new role: “I’m excited to be joining such a talented group at G2. Everything from the teams to the people is truly world-class. Our vision is to blend the cultures of sports, gaming, and music to create 24/7 entertainment. We’re going to be working with the world’s top brands to take this to the next level for our millions of loyal fans and future #G2Army members.”

Having spent four years at Harris Blitzer Sports & Entertainment prior to joining G2 Esports, Bellar has experience in developing partnership strategy and sales – not only across sports properties such as the Philadelphia 76ers and New Jersey Devils, but with esports properties Dignitas and 76ers Gaming Club.
Last December, G2 Esports received a $10 million (£7.6 million) investment from Joseph Tsai, Owner of Brooklyn Nets and Co-founder of Alibaba Group. The capital is being used to launch the organisation in New York City, which is on course to be opened this year.
Esports Insider says: Bellar’s clearly experienced in both traditional sports and esports, something that we believe will work well in his favour – he’ll be able to get started without lessons in esports being needed. This seems like a good hire for G2 Esports, which has exciting times ahead of it in NYC.
