SIS to optimise Bet365’s esports offerings

UK-based betting solutions company Sports Information Services (SIS) has inked a deal with Bet365 to optimise the sportsbook’s esports betting services.

SIS, which revealed its esports betting product SIS Competitive Gaming at ICE London in February, will debut its end-to-end solution with Bet365.

The product includes live-streamed events, commentary, embedded betting triggers, and a range of markets and prices on esports. Through this development, customers will have the ability to wager on live head-to-head esports matches including those taking place during the SIS Blitz League with NBA 2K.

Paul Witten, Product Director at SIS, commented on the deal in a release: “SIS competitive gaming is designed specifically to appeal to existing sports bettors in a format that is familiar, and with fast paced action that allows multiple betting opportunities. Quality and integrity that has been built into the product from inception.”

An appealing quality of this accord is that all SIS-approved matches will be monitored by an integrity referee specifically trained for this role by the Esports Integrity Commission (ESIC). This will incorporate strict player protection procedures and integrity protocols to ensure competitions are fair and transparent.

Although having offered esports markets in the past, Bet365 has, for the most part, sat on the sidelines of esports betting innovation. The onboarding of SIS technology, which is said to be delivered across Bet365’s esports betting services over the coming weeks, is the latest push in recent times from the bookmaker.

Esports Insider says: It’s been over a year since SIS announced its intentions to create an esports betting solution and we’ll soon be getting our first look. The integration of SIS’ end-to-end solution is also one of the first big drives from Bet365 in the space; perhaps in the age of COVID-19 the major sportsbook is seeing the value in esports after only flirting with it previously.
