The partnership aligns with the organisation’s goal to expand and reinforce its brand – which has been mostly pushed in Europe – in new territories.
John Yao, CEO of Team Secret, commented on the partnership on LinkedIn: “Excited to be working with one of the biggest streaming platforms in China. With this partnership, Team Secret will be able to reach new communities, and connect more effectively with our fans globally than ever. Looking forward to making huge waves in esports with this amazing collaboration!

Team Secret joins Team Liquid and Team Griffin as a partner of HUYA, becoming part of a growing roster of organisations that are looking to tap into the vast and enthusiastic Chinese market. In April, British organisation Method established a long-term partnership with streaming platform DouYu.
HUYA joins the likes of NVIDIA, Secretlab, Mogul, CORSAIR, Uwin, ookyo, Meta Threads, and Twitch as a partner of the organisation.
Esports Insider says: Since partnering with Uwin, Team Secret has been looking to expand its presence in China. Now streaming on HUYA, the organisation is intent on making an impact in a highly-competitive but potentially-fruitful market.
