In his role as Evil Geniuses’ Chief Innovation Officer, he will be in charge of “building new initiatives, opportunities, and revenue streams” for the organisation, according to LinkedIn. Evil Geniuses CEO Nicole LaPointe Jameson tweeted that the initiatives DeAppolonio is spearheading will include technology and university partnerships.
This time last year, DeAppolonio was promoted to the role of President of Overwatch League franchise Houston Outlaws. He previously served as the Executive Vice President of Partnerships at Infinite Esports & Entertainment, the franchise’s original ownership group.

DeAppolonio departed his post at Houston Outlaws, which was acquired by Beasley Media Group in November 2019, in March of this year. Esports Insider spoke with him in December last year about the acquisition and his role within it, leading up to his departure.
Esports Insider says: DeAppolonio is vastly-experienced in the world of partnerships so, on that front, he’ll no doubt deliver plenty of interesting initiatives for his new employer. Evil Geniuses is evidently keen on growing on all fronts, from new partnerships, to entering new titles, to making key hires.
