North American organisation Pittsburgh Knights has established a partnership with PNC Bank to launch an initiative geared around women in esports.

The initiative, which is PNC Bank’s first foray into esports, will be an effort to develop actionable solutions for gender equity disparities in the esports industry.

With the support of PNC Bank, Pittsburgh Knights will facilitate open and honest conversations about how esports industry insiders and affiliates can work together, act as leaders, and ultimately take steps towards opening up competing in esports to a more diverse group of people.

James O’Connor, President of Pittsburgh Knights, commented in a release: “We have so much respect for PNC and strive to follow their lead in the way they support their communities. The issue of inclusivity in gaming is something we feel very strongly about and I’m happy that PNC wants to make a positive impact with us in the esports space.”

A committee will be put together between the two organisations to lead discussions and spark ideas about how to change the narrative for women in the field of esports. Local sports industry experts, scholars, and professionals from the gaming and esports industry will come together to help develop initiatives that can be implemented into the ever-growing international network.

Lou Cestello, Head of Regional Markets, and Regional President of Pittsburgh for PNC Bank, added: “The Knights have not only brought the exciting new esports industry to Pittsburgh, but they care about setting the stage for greater inclusion and equal opportunities in the space. We’re eager to connect with new audiences by supporting an organisation like the Knights that shares our values – and competitive spirit.”

Esports Insider Says: Although this is the first of PNC’s involvement in esports, they are no stranger to working against inclusivity in all aspects of life. As both organisations are committed to making a change, this partnership can only be a really great match for not just the local community, but also the greater hub of international esports.

ESI Ranking System
We’ve created a ranking system to help you quickly know how good each gambling platform is. As gamblers ourselves, we know which factors matter most to you, so we follow a best-in-class methodology to test each one with no stone unturned. Once done, we then rank each platform based on the following tiers:
  • A-Tier High-quality sites that deliver a top experience every time. They boast strong performance, nice features, and reliable support, but are just shy of perfection.
  • B-Tier Solid platforms that are worth a spin. They’re safe, fun, and functional, but may be lacking advanced features or have minor drawbacks.
  • S-Tier Reserved for elite operators only. These go well beyond the norm with lucrative bonuses, rewarding promotions, lightning-fast payouts, and a flawless experience overall.
