Mobile-centric esports organisation Team Queso announced a partnership with Samsung España, the Spanish division of the global electronics manufacturer.
The partnership, which will last through the end of 2020, is focused on Samsung’s popular smartphones, including the recently-launched Galaxy Note 20 line.
Luis de la Peña, Product Marketing Manager at Samsung Electronics, commented in a release: “We want to continue promoting the gaming experience on mobile devices, which is why we have sought this alliance with Team Queso, an extremely successful esports team both nationally and internationally in mobile games. Our Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series has the most advanced technology on the market, ideal for providing the best gaming experience on a mobile device.”
Team Queso competes in such games as Clash Royale, Brawl Stars, Clash of Clans, and Arena of Valor, and is also currently partnered with Telepizza, Elgato, and Lotto.
The organisation’s Clash Royale players are already using the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G smartphone in competition, and posted photos of themselves using it on social media. According to a release, Team Queso and Samsung are working on several initiatives together, including video content.
“As a leading team in mobile competitions, we, Team Queso, need the best available phones to compete at the highest level,” the team wrote in a release. “We are proud that such an iconic company as Samsung has decided to place its trust in our team to join the esports scene, it will be an honour to win tournaments with the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G.”
Esports Insider says: Team Queso is one of the best-known mobile organisations and has a sizable presence in its home country of Spain. This three-month partnership might be a brief one (as of now, at least), but it’s one that seems to have a lot of benefit for both parties.
