Dutch landline and mobile telecommunications company KPN has returned as an official partner of the eDivisie, Netherlands’ official FIFA esports league.
The two entities, which last partnered back in 2018/2019 season, have signed a new deal for two years, with an option for a third year. The news comes after the eDivisie partnered with H&M Netherlands last week.

As a main partner, KPN will be visible in the gameplay and on social posts of the eDivisie. According to the release, the telecommunications company aims to reach a new young target group with the partnership.
Mark Versteegen, Head of Corporate Sponsorships at KPN, commented: “As a sponsor of the Eredivisie and the KNVB, KPN has been intensively involved in Dutch football for years.
“The partnership with the eDivisie is a great addition to our football partnerships through which we will reach a large part of the Dutch gamers. Esports is one of the fastest-growing sports communities in the world.”
In close co-operation with the eDivisie, KPN will also produce multiple content formats, offering entertainment to the community in the Netherlands.

Multiple forms of branded content items are to be published on the official eDivisie Instagram account, as well as campaign based videos of higher quality.

Esports Insider Says: With the recent addition of H&M, eDivisie re-partners with KPN for the upcoming season, as the official Dutch league looks to grow in terms of viewer-base. This is a familiar partnership for the telecommunications company, and they enjoyed success in FIFA 19 with the KPN eDivisie Cup.
