Energy drink brand Red Bull announced today that it has signed a long-term, multi-year partnership with T1 Entertainment & Sports, best known for its League of Legends team.
The alliance will cover all of T1’s competitive teams and players, including those in VALORANT, Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and more.

Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, League of Legends mid-laner for T1, commented in a release: “As a pro gamer, I drink energy drinks during practice and before games. All of us at T1 are excited to enjoy our new partnership with Red Bull.”
T1 players and teams will have access to Red Bull’s performance training resources, including facilities in Austria and Santa Monica, California. It has also been revealed that the partnership was secured with the help of SPORTFIVE, T1’s exclusive commercial agent.
T1 Entertainment & Sports was formed in 2019 via a partnership between SK Telecom and Comcast Spectacor. The organisation’s League of Legends team won three World Championships under the earlier SK Telecom T1 banner.

Red Bull has been invested in esports in various ways for a considerable amount of time. The company sponsors the League of Legends European Championship (LEC) and teams such as G2 Esports, Cloud9, and Vodafone Giants. Additionally, Red Bull has hosted numerous esports competitions in League of Legends, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, and the fighting game community, whilst also partnering with popular streamers such as Tyler “Ninja” Blevins.
Esports Insider says: Red Bull has a lot of big teams on its roster and T1 is just the latest to join the club. It will be interesting to see if the brand’s performance infrastructure actually comes into play in this partnership in a meaningful way.
