IGC launches Wild Rift Tournament in Brazil, partners with Razer

Immortals Gaming Club (IGC) has announced, through its gaming platform Gamers Club, a League Of Legends: Wild Rift Tournament.

IGC also revealed that the event, called Conquest, will be sponsored by gaming peripherals brand Razer.

The Wild Rift Tournament, which features a prize pool of $BRL 15,000 (£2099,73), will include three stages and two qualifies, with 128 teams competing through an open qualification format. Razer will also sponsor other tournaments from IGC, called Rift and Chroma Cup. Both are going to be tournaments featuring League Of Legends and VALORANT. 

According to the release from Gamers Club, the event comes after a series of beta tournaments were made to help engage the community, The tournaments utilised a variety of games on the platform. 

The first open qualifier will occur on June 14th and 15th. Meanwhile, the second qualifier will happen between June 21st and 22nd.

From each qualifier, 4 teams will qualify for the main event. The competition will then be broadcast on Gamers Club Twitch Channel. The main event is expected to take place June 26th and will end the day after.

All teams that want to participate in the tournament will have to follow Gamers Club guidelines to sign up for the tournament.

Gamers Club also holds other Riot Games-related tournaments, such as the IGC Pride Cup in partnership with Intel and Acer. Besides VALORANT and League Of Legends, Gamers Club is also known for its CS:GO tournaments. 

Esports Insider says: Mobile gaming has a huge community in Brazil, and now with Wild Rift, it seems natural that brands will start to sponsor tournaments related to the sector. Razer supporting this kind of tournament seems to be the right move for the brand.
