Texas-based esports organisation Envy Gaming has recruited Eric Duncan and Erin Schendle into its sales and marketing team.
Duncan will be the organisation’s Head of Marketing while Schendle has been named Envy Gaming’s Senior Vice President of Sales and Partnerships.
Prior to joining the organisation, Schendle spent 12 years with Dallas-based television channel WFAA as a Sales Manager and Account Executive. Duncan joins Envy Gaming after a six-year spell at video production company Rooster Teeth. Most recently he was the company’s Vice President of Marketing.
Adam Rymer, CEO of Envy Gaming, spoke on the appointments in a release: “Eric and Erin are proven leaders with success at each step in their careers building innovative programs and new ways for larger and larger audiences to engage with the content and brands that they love.
“We’re excited to add them to our talented leadership team in North Texas at a pivotal moment for Envy as we expand our role at the intersection of gaming, entertainment and technology.”
In their new roles, Duncan and Schendle will ‘lead Envy in its strategic collaboration’ with brands, media organisations, and new ventures, according to the release.
The hirings follow on from Envy Gaming appointing three new Executives to its Board of Directors back in July.
Esports Insider says: With Envy Gaming looking to scale its sales and marketing efforts, the additions of Eric Duncan and Erin Schendle to its staff is a solid acquisition as both possess a wealth of experience in their respective fields.
