According to the release, Misao will lead the regional marketing initiatives for both Galaxy Racer and Nigma Galaxy, the organisation’s esports division.
Prior to joining Galaxy Racer, Misao was the Esports Project Manager for Singaporean developer Garena. As the organisation’s first esports hire, he led and executed esports initiatives for its mobile Battle Royale game Free Fire in India and Bangladesh.

Allan Phang, Chief Marketing Officer of Galaxy Racer, said: “Romeo’s vast marketing experience and deep knowledge of the Indian esports industry is vital as part of our strategic initiatives for India. His work is exceptional and I am looking forward to working together with him.
“As Galaxy Racer pushes forward with our aggressive expansion plans, having a leader of his calibre is important to spearhead our marketing campaigns. We look forward to having Romeo on board with us. Welcome to our galaxy!”
Misao is expected to lead the organisation’s respective local marketing managers, with a focus on the company’s expansion plans across India and South Asia.
Over the last year, Galaxy Racer has announced multiple new hires appointing Zoey Ng as its SEO Regional Marketing Manager and Danny Lopez as its Chief Content Officer. The organisation has also secured deals with LaLiga, Waverider and Techxhub.
Romeo Misao, Head of Marketing, India and South Asia of Galaxy Racer, added: “I am excited to be working at Galaxy Racer, one of the fastest-growing esports, gaming and lifestyle organisations globally.
“I look forward to working with Allan and my fellow colleagues as we look to partner with brands that are interested in targeting Gen Z and Millennials.
“I cannot wait to unleash the awesome marketing initiatives I have in store for the Indian market and to put Galaxy Racer, Nigma Galaxy and India on the world map in the global esports industry.”
Esports Insider says: Galaxy Racer continues to build a strong roster of hires to follow up with the organisation’s global expansion plans. Romeo Misao’s knowledge of the local esports ecosystem in India and South Asia as well as his years of experience in gaming comms will surely be beneficial to the organisation.
