The teams will compete in a best of one (B01) format. Alexandre ‘Gaules’ Borba, Anders Blume and Auguste ‘Semmler Massonnat have been announced as some of the talents confirmed for the broadcast.

Battle of Betway will take place before CS:GO’s Stockholm Major, which is set to take place on October 26th.

On behalf of Betway, Adam Savinson commented: “Battle of Betway is our most ambitious CS:GO sponsorship activation to date; bringing together our teams from around the world to compete against each other in an epic Betway tournament.

“Occurring just before the long-awaited Stockholm Major, this is the last opportunity for every CS:GO fan to see their favourite teams face off before battling for the top prize of the year.”

Over the past 12 months, Betway has significantly increased its presence within the esports industry through a range of partnerships with multiple esports organisations. This includes becoming a principal partner of Dota 2 team PSG.LGD.

Carlos ‘Ocelote’, CEO of G2, talked about the initiative: “It’s great to see our partners at Betway doing this Battle of Betway show. This will definitely bring the teams together as part of the Betway family and I look forward to seeing them!”

Esports Insider says: Betway has a strong presence in CS:GO through its multiple collaborations with esports teams. As such, it’s not a surprise to see the company utilise its portfolio and create a high-quality tournament. Strong names such as G2, NIP and FURIA should attract a range of fans to the event.
