Esports tournament organiser ESL has announced the promotion of Andreas Jernberg to Managing Director of ESL Nordics.
Through his new role, Jernberg will take on responsibility for ESL’s products in the Nordic market, including the two original DreamHack festivals Summer and Winter.

Via a post on LinkedIn, the newly appointed Managing Director added: “With my long-time experience of the festival product through managing the DreamStore as a client and overall esports know-how, I hope to bring the right commercial mindset for the future development of the ESL and DreamHack products in the Nordics.
“I’m grateful for this trust and I’m looking forward to growing the success in the Nordics together with the team.”
Prior to his promotion, Jernberg had been gaining experience as ESL’s Senior Brand Partnerships Manager since April 2020.
Jernberg also worked in a similar role at Webhallen, a Swedish hardware, consumer electronics and games company. He was employed at Webhallen for over eight years, starting as a store manager in 2011, and eventually becoming the company’s B2B Sales Director.

Earlier this month, ESL unveiled BIG, Furia and Heroic as the latest partner teams for the ESL Pro League.
The tournament organiser also named cybersecurity software company Norton as its official cyber safety partner for StarCraft II and Warcraft III’s ESL Pro Tour.
Esports Insider says: Andreas Jernberg has gained valuable experience and skills through his previous roles in sales and marketing that will benefit ESL and its products. Moreover, as Jernberg has already been working within the company since last year, he is also well-versed in the esports and gaming industry, which is a big plus.
