According to the release, Tacca aims to use Oni Vision to help ‘bridge the gap between nerd and pop culture’. This includes advising on sponsorship approaches, strategic partnerships and marketing initiatives within the gaming space.
Tacca has worked in the gaming space for over 10 years across brand agencies and game publishers. At the beginning of 2021, she left her role as Director of Esports at advertising agency Momentum Worldwide to become an independent advisor and consultant.
Following her departure, she has worked with clients such as Twitch and Intel. Through Oni Vision, Tacca will work with companies such as Funimation, Dr Pepper, eFuse and Lenovo as a ‘subject matter expert’.
Prior to Momentum Worldwide, Tacca worked as a marketing lead on a variety of licensed mobile games, including the likes of Marvel, Disney, the NBA, and MLB.
“The esports and gaming space has become a creative playground for partnerships, as esports continues to create new opportunities by evolving around new trends, adapting to new innovations and integrating cross-cultures,” said Tacca.
“By being a creative consultancy partner, an ongoing focus will be to elevate new initiatives to help grow the industry, recognise the whitespaces and become a source of inspiration for the broader gaming space. To match the ever-changing landscape, the aim of Oni Vision is also to provide thought-leadership and expertise at a more accessible level for a multitude of organisations.”

Oni Vision has outlined a list of aims that the consultancy wants to achieve in order to maintain the gaming and esports industry’s growth. With Tacca at the helm, the company cited the advancement of live streaming, leveraging anime and developing more women in gaming initiatives as some of Oni Vision’s goals.
Esports Insider says: As more brands are looking to engage with the esports and gaming industry, there has been an increase in the demand for consultancies in the space. Tacca has a vast amount of experience and already comes with a list of high profile clients, which is already a good sign for Oni Vision. It’ll be interesting to see how the consultancy leverages anime and how gaming brands connect with the sector.
